This past September, the Board approved a plan to implement a shared services model for the provision of public health services with the Napa-Solano-Yolo County Public Health Laboratory. The Board will hear an update on staff's efforts to implement this new operating model, as well as a request to approve a Joint Powers Agreement that would provide Marin County with an ongoing role in the governance of the laboratory.

Recently a number of private sector donors have expressed interest in making financial contributions to offset the costs of capital improvements at various County parks and recrational facilities. In return for their substantial contributions, some have requested certain recognition at these facilities. County staff are therefore recommending that the Board of Supervisors adopt formal policies guiding how that recognition should take place.

Should sanitary service rates be increased in portions of the Ross Valley and Central Marin? The Board will hold a hearing to consider the merits of these proposals. The Marin Sanitary Service is requesting a 0.22% rate increase, equivalent to approximately 7 cents per month for a 32-gallon trash can.

The Board will hold its fifth hearing on the Local Coastal Program Amendment. Sections of the draft plan to be discussed will include: Agriculture, Biological Resources, Community Design, Community Development, Wind Energy, Transportation, Maps, and Coastal Permits.
