The Board will honor the County's Systems Administration team with the "Employee Team of the Quarter" award and Anita Sauber with the "Employee of the Month" award. The Information Technology Systems Administrators team is responsible for supporting the hardware and software that makes the County’s essential business systems run, including more than 400 servers that host critical applications for law enforcement, property taxes, human resources, and payroll, among others. Anita Sauber serves as an Agricultural Inspector for the County and has done an extraordinary job overseeing the Marin Organic Certified Agriculture program.

In order to ensure that the Marin County Code conforms with the Americans with Disabilities Act and its various regulations, the Board is being asked to consider updates so as to further exempt mobility devices from restrictions.

This past September, the Board approved a plan to implement a lower-cost shared services model for the provision of public health services with the Napa-Solano-Yolo-Marin County Public Health Laboratory. As part of the implementation of that new model, the department is proposing to reduce 19 public health fees, including water testing fees, to be effective on April 1, 2013.
