The Board will hear a request from Marin County Parks to take actions related to a project to promote, support and study community participation in climate change risk reduction and adaptation planning. The actions include establishing a technical partnership and a grant agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), approving budget supplements of $150,000 to federal grants and $150,000 for professional services, and establishing a $150,000 agreement (offset by the FEMA grant) with Climate Access for project execution, management and guidance.

The Board will hold a merit hearing for an ordinance restricting oversized vehicles on certain County roads and tour buses from residential streets. After hearing resident complaints, the Board has mentioned that certain narrow mountain roads are unsafe for vehicles in excess of 36 feet. The restricted roads would include those leading to Muir Woods National Monument.
