The Board will hear the first reading of an ordinance restricting oversized vehicles on certain County roads and tour buses from residential streets. After hearing resident complaints, the Board has mentioned that certain narrow mountain roads are unsafe for vehicles in excess of 36 feet. The restricted roads would include those leading to Muir Woods National Monument. Staff recommends that the clerk read the ordinance by title only and schedule a merit hearing for 10:30 a.m. December 16. If the first reading receives Board approval, a companion resolution would be brought to the Board on December 16 to specify which streets would be subject to the restrictions.
Review
The Board heard the first reading and scheduled the merit hearing for December 16.
Need more info? See the staff report about the ordinance.
