The Board will hear the first reading of an ordinance amending selective sections of the Marin County Code Chapter 7.24, Food Establishments, to allow for placarding of inspection compliance ratings in food establishments. The proposed amendments would allow Environmental Health Services to implement the “Go for Green” Placard Program, a key initiative in the agency’s 2014-16 Performance Plan that would improve food handling practices and protect food and public safety.

The Board heard the first reading and scheduled a merit hearing for June 17.
