3. Parks Fee Schedule

Preview

The Board will hear a request from Marin County Parks to set a hearing for consideration of a resolution concerning the adoption of a new fee schedule for the use of County Parks. A stipulation of Measure A was for Parks to reduce entrance fees and make park visits more affordable. Staff proposes reducing fees overall and increase the transparency of the fee structure for privately sponsored special events. Among the recommendations is to eliminate entry feels for walk-in pedestrians and bicyclists and reduce summer weekday fees. Parks recommends that a hearing be scheduled for 10:30 a.m. February 24.

Review

The Board heard the request and a report from Marin County Parks and scheduled the merit hearing for 10:30 a.m. February 24.
