The Board will hear a request from the Human Resources Department to authorize the Board President to execute a tentative agreement with the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association for a successor 18-month Collective Bargaining Agreement. The County has many long-term priorities for bargaining agreements, including the reduction of the County's contribution toward employees' share of pension costs, providing affordable health benefits and making market-based equity adjustments. This proposed agreement would reflect those goals and bring the association in line with the firefighters' contract that was settled in 2014.
The Board authorized the Board President to execute the tentative agreement.
