The Board will hear a request from Marin County Parks to conduct a public information meeting regarding the continuation of the Rush Creek Lighting and Landscaping District. On June 16, the Board adopted a resolution of intention to continue maintenance and operation of the Rush Creek Landscaping and Lighting District on the east side of Novato. As required by the Streets and Highways Code, the Board must now conduct a public information meeting, allowing an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the district and the $949 annual assessment. Staff recommends conducting the meeting and scheduling public protest hearing for 11 a.m. July 28.
