The Board will hear a request from Marin County Parks to authorize the Board President to execute a $100,000 grant agreement with Marin Audubon Society for the acquisition of historic baylands in Corte Madera and authorize transfer of Measure A funds. Parks received a request from Marin Audubon for the grant to support the acquisition of five acres of undeveloped property east of the railroad tracks and about a quarter-mile south of Corte Madera Creek. The zoning on the property, appraised at $1.075 million, is for commercial use, but the land is considered history bayland and has significant wetland potential.
The Board authorized the Board President to execute the grant agreement and transfer the funds.
