Donation of Doghouse Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 5/10/2016

The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator's Office to accept a report from the Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center Conservancy related to acceptance of donation from Jim Berger of a doghouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Berger grew up with his parents in the famed Berger House in San Anselmo, another Wright-designed structure as is the Marin County Civic Center. The doghouse is a replica of an original made in the late 1950s according to Wright's plans. The County hopes to put the doghouse on display and bring it to special events.

The Board accepted the report and the donation of the doghouse. Jim Berger was on hand and was personally thanked by the Supervisors.
