Highlights of the May 17, 2016 Board Meeting:
At 9 a.m., the Board will hold an informational workshop to review applications submitted for Cycle 2 of the Community Service Grant Program. The program provides one-time funding allocations between $1,000 and $10,000 to nonprofit service providers or other governmental entities to fund specific projects or programs that provide a measurable benefit to Marin residents. Funding is approved for the current year only and is not intended to provide ongoing financial support for the project or program. Staff recommends that the Board review applications and provide direction on funding priorities.
The Board reviewed the applications and provided feedback to staff. Final recommendations are expected to be brought before the Board in early June.
