No earlier than 10 a.m., the Board will present the Employee of the Month award for August 2016 to of the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
Supervisor Rice read the following:
Robin, a program coordinator since May 2005, is an outstanding employee in the Marin County Sheriff’s Department. Robin oversees the Programs Division at the Marin County Jail. She prides herself in helping others, creating good relationships with the volunteers and a cohesive team environment. She takes the time to talk with the volunteers to determine what they need and works to implement their ideas into the Jail’s inmate program. Robin is a team player and is respected by her team. She supports and encourages her team to achieve their goals.
Her energy and encouragement has helped to boost inmates’ confidence, providing the opportunity to develop positive skills. Some former inmates have written or visited Robin to thank her for believing in them. It can be difficult for some whose lives have hit a road where there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel and it often takes a special person to help them overcome their obstacles. Robin’s belief in them helps them to believe in themselves.
Robin is dedicated to her co-workers, the inmates and the volunteers she oversees. She credits the team for a job well done and claims it is because of them that she is effective at what she does. Robin deserves this recognition for her outstanding dedication. Congratulations, Robin.
