No earlier than 2:30 p.m., the Board will conduct a hearing to consider the Karuna Land LLC Master Plan Amendment, Precise Development Plan and Vesting Tentative Map pertaining to the proposed development on a 10.6-acre parcel at 1 Sacramento Ave. in unincorporated Sleepy Hollow neighborhood near San Anselmo (APN 177-220-10). In January 2014, Board approved the Karuna Master Plan Ordinance with amendments, adopted the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact, and denied without prejudice the Vesting Tentative Map and Precise Development Plan. Several issues remained unresolved and the parties went into mediation. In August 2016, a writ of mandate cause of action was briefed to Marin County Superior Court, and a remand hearing in January 2017 was a follow-up to address four remaining issues. The Board accepted the court's decision and approved staff's recommendations to move forward with plans.
