At 9 a.m., the Board will conduct an informational workshop to review applications submitted for Cycle 1 of the Community Services Grant Program and consider the funding recommendations. The program provides one-time funding allocations between $1,000 and $10,000 to nonprofit service providers or other governmental entities to fund specific projects or programs that provide a measurable benefit to Marin residents. Funding is not intended to provide ongoing financial support for the project or program. Cycle 1 was open from July 1 through September 30, and 62 requests worth $445,709 were received. The target amount for allocation in Cycle 1 is approximately $150,000.
The Board conducted the workshop and made recommendations to staff. The Board plans to make decisions on allotments at its December 5 meeting.
