Preview
No earlier than 2:30 p.m., the Board will conduct a hearing to consider the Marin County Unincorporated Area Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and Amended Negative Declaration. These documents are the policy and program framework for the development and implementation of safety and accessibility improvements for bike and pedestrian paths. In the unincorporated parts of Marin, there are 11.4 miles of Class I (multiuse) separated pathways, and a buildout would add another 21.3 miles. There are 31.0 miles of bike lanes and road shoulders with another 108.8 miles proposed, mostly in West Marin. For pedestrians, sidewalk improvement projects are identified for unincorporated locations in Strawberry, Mill Valley and Point Reyes Station. Following public workshops, the resulting Master Plan update is consistent with the 2007 Countywide Plan.
