The Board will hear two first readings of ordinance changes for the Marin County Code. The first is a repeal of section pertaining to fees charged by the Marin County Counsel's Office. The fees are not charged to the public at large. A resolution about a revised fee schedule for County Counsel is scheduled for the July 17 Board agenda, the same day as the merit hearing for the repeal of the County Code section. The second proposal is for an amendment to a section pertaining to Building and Safety Division fees from the Community Development Agency. CDA staff proposes a 6 percent increase to the division's hourly rate. The current building and safety fees have not been adjusted since 2009, and it requires a code amendment to change them. Staff recommends that the Board schedule hearings for both proposed ordinance changes for 10:30 a.m. July 17.
