No earlier than 10 a.m., the Board will conduct a hearing to consider a resolution to implement fee proposals to enhance maintenance and facility improvements at the Marin Center. The resolution proposes a $1 per ticket facility fee for the fairgrounds, Lagoon Park, Fairgrounds Island, and Exhibit Hall. It includes an advertising fee structure for the electronic advertising board (called the Readerboard) adjacent to Highway 101 on the Civic Center grounds, and it would add processing fees onto all tickets sales through the Marin Center Box Office. The adjustments are proposed because of the costs of doing business. The Cultural Services Department estimates the changes would result in about $132,500 in revenue per year. cost-covered proposals would not impact General Fund net costs.
The Board conducted the hearing and adopted the resolution.
