No earlier than 1:30 p.m., the Board will hear a request from the Department of Public Works, on behalf of the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), to adopt a resolution approving TAM’s Final Half-Cent Transportation Sales Tax Renewal Expenditure Plan. The 20-year tax, known as Measure A, was approved by Marin voters in November 2004 and has a "sunset date" of March 2025. Although there are seven years left on the measure, the language in the expenditure plan needs to be updated to accommodate new community needs. Measure A raises more than $25 million annually, with revenue going toward local transportation projects and programs. TAM staff proposes a half-cent sales tax measure on the November 2018 ballot to renew Measure A funding and adjust allocations.
The Board adopted the resolution.
