No earlier than 10 a.m., the Board will conduct a hearing to consider resolutions revising the 2018-19 rate/charge schedule for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS), for community mental health system of care treatment services and for County-operated substance use treatment services. The proposed rate revision ensures that BHRS maximizes its Medi-Cal and other health coverage revenues. Very few clients will actually pay the revised rates because the State of California requires that clients who are not full-scope Medi-Cal or who are not insured by other health benefits be charged on a state-established sliding fee schedule based on income, family size, and other factors that determine a client’s ability to pay.
The Board conducted the hearing and adopted the resolutions revising the rate/charge schedule.
