Not before 10:30 a.m., the Board will conduct a hearing for an ordinance amending Marin County Code (Sections 15.36.080 and 15.36.085) related to parking restrictions on specific County-maintained roads, adding a definition of an automobile to assist the Marin County Sheriff's Office with enforcement and to provide consistent expectations for the public. The County has received complaints about the increasing number of oversized vehicles that park overnight on the roads of unincorporated Marin, plus trash being dumped and people loitering near the lanes of travel. One code update would include a definition of an automobile, restricting its length to 22 feet. The Sheriff's Office supports adoption of the ordinance.
Review
The Board conducted the hearing and did not adopt the ordinance amendment.
