The Board will hear a request from Marin County Parks to accept the 2018 Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Report and approve the 2019 list of allowed products. The County has been putting its “organic first” philosophy to work for many years now. The report, which meets County ordinance requirements, includes a review of pesticide use, program violations, product exemptions issued and a summary of the non-chemical IPM effort. In 2018, 131 of 147 locations covered by County IPM policy were maintained without the use of pesticides, up from 126 a year earlier. The County's IPM program continues to serve as a model program for other public agencies.
The Board accepted the report and approved the list of allowed products.
