Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a request from the Community Development Agency to adopt resolution to opt-in to an outreach agreement with the California Complete Count Census 2020 to conduct outreach and assistance for the 2020 decennial census. The U.S. Constitution mandates a count of every person regardless of age, race, ethnicity and citizenship every 10 years. Marin County has been allocated $100,000 to fund outreach activities to promote participation in the census. The County plans to create a Complete Count Committee that will spearhead community resources to increase awareness. Staff recommends that the Board approve budget adjustments as well.
The Board adopted the resolution.
