Highlights of the May 14, 2019 Board Meeting:
Shortly after the Board convenes at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a request from the Cultural Services Department to adopt the Countywide Arts and Culture Master Plan titled Arts, Culture, Action, Marin! The plan, the result of engagement with more than 1,700 residents, helps ensure a rich artistic future for all Marin residents and visitors. The plan includes an inventory and map of Marin's 1,750 arts-related businesses and nonprofits. Researchers found that Marin arts nonprofits contribute $76.4 million annually to the county's economy.

Funding is not intended to provide ongoing financial support for the project or program. Cycle 2 was open from January 1 through March 31, and 80 requests worth a combined total of $533,803 were received. The available budget for Cycle 2 is $164,292.
