The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator to take several actions related to the termination of the Marin Telecommunications Agency (MTA). The Board will consider adopting a resolution authorizing the Marin General Services Authority (MGSA) to collect fees from cable television providers on behalf of the County, and to exercise all of the functions performed by the MTA. The fees go toward the stations that air public access, education, and government (PEG) channels. The Board will then conduct a first reading of an ordinance repealing Chapter 5.30 of the Marin County Code terminating the Marin Telecommunications Agency and scheduling a merit hearing for 10:30 a.m. April 28.
