The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator to execute an agreement with the San Rafael Chamber Educational Foundation, Inc., in the amount of $50,000, to provide COVID-19 disaster relief funds for San Rafael small businesses. The County's shelter-in-place order has adversely affected commerce throughout Marin County. The economic impact is likely to cause a fall in sales tax and property tax revenues. The chamber's Educational Foundation was established to provide qualified businesses with one-time grants of up to $5,000. A County contribution would match that of the City of San Rafael.
The Board executed the agreement.
