The Board will conduct an informational workshop to review applications submitted for Cycle 2 of the Community Services Grant Program and consider funding recommendations. The program provides one-time funding allocations between $1,000 and $10,000 to nonprofit service providers or other governmental entities to fund specific projects or programs that provide a measurable benefit to Marin residents. Funding is not intended to provide ongoing financial support for the project or program. Cycle 2 was open from January 1 through March 31, and 71 requests worth a combined total of $486,867 were received. The available budget for Cycle 2 is approximately $154,000.
The Board conducted the workshop and provided direction to staff. Actions related to the final allocations are tentatively scheduled for June 2.
