The Board will hear a request from the Department of Public Works (DPW) to approve actions related to the Sir Francis Drake Boulevard Corridor Project. After years of planning and public outreach, DPW is accelerating plans to rehabilitate 2.2 miles of Drake Boulevard between Highway 101 and the Ross’ southern town limit. The two-year project, expected to start in June, will include many safety enhancements. Staff recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Ghilotti Bros. Inc., for the bid amount of $18,036,422.90 and authorize a 10% contract contingency. The Board is also asked to execute a reimbursement agreement with Marin Municipal Water District and adjust a contract with Coastland Civil Engineering.
