2. COVID-19 Response and Marin Recovers

Preview

The Board will hear an update on Marin Recovers, a plan developed with multiple stakeholders to guide a safe and gradual reopening of Marin businesses. The County is working with local industry advisory groups, comprised of subject matter experts from various fields, who will provide recommendations about how an industry – from retail to recreation to rental properties – could reopen in compliance with COVID-19 public health orders. In addition to industry feedback, residents have access to a new online resource that provides step-by-step guidance on the gradual return to normalcy. The website, MarinRecovers.com, connects Marin County residents, business owners, community leaders, and public health professionals to collaborate on reopening the economy and community in a safe manner.

Review

The Board accepted the update.

3. Eviction Moratorium During COVID-19 Emergency

Preview

The Board will hear a request from the Community Development Agency to consider an amended resolution barring evictions due to the public health emergency arising from the COVID-19 virus, to extend through June 30, 2020, for residential tenants only. On March 24, the Board adopted the resolution barring evictions during COVID-19, and since that time the sheltering order has been extended and expanded. A previous amended resolution addressed the changes and built on statewide actions on renter protections.

Review

The Board adopted the resolution.

Need more info? See the staff report about the amendments to the eviction resolution.
