1. SPECIAL NOTICE on Meeting Participation

SPECIAL NOTICE

The Board of Supervisors is holding fully electronic meetings in response to the continued COVID-19 pandemic shelter-in-place order. The Board members participate using Zoom videoconferencing technology and encourage remote public participation in the meeting as well. For instructions and guidance on how to watch the meeting or submit public comment, visit the Board of Supervisors' meeting webpage. Viewers also may watch the Community Media Center of Marin's webcast. Comcast subscribers in Marin may watch on Channel 27.

New for 2021: Open time for public expression about topics that are not on the day's agenda has been moved to the start of the meeting in the interest of making the time slot more predictable for participants.

2. Administrator's Report on COVID-19 Response

Agenda Item #2: The Board will hear a report from the County Administrator and possibly other County staff about the local COVID-19 response. The County proclaimed a local emergency and a public health emergency in early March 2020, and since then staff has worked in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate public response efforts. A local shelter-in-place order was first issued March 16, 2020, to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

The Board heard the report from Public Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis.

3. Appointments to Advisory Boards and Commissions

Agenda Item #6: The Board will consider five vacancies on the Planning Commission, four on the Cultural Services Commission, two on the Kentfield Planning Advisory Board, two on the Law Library Board of Trustees, one on the Personnel Commission, and one on the Peace Conversion Commission.

Planning Commission: Margot Biehle, Margaret Curran, Christina Desser, Don Dickenson 

Cultural Services Commission: Ernie Bergman, Madeline Nieto Hope, Lauren Howard

Kentfield Planning Advisory Board: Ross McKenna, Neil Park

Law Library Board of Trustees: Tracy Barrett, Jonathan Frieman

Personnel Commission: Carla Halyard

Peace Conversion Commission: Jonathan Oldfather.
