Stream Conservation Area Ordinance

Developing a Revised Stream Conservation Ordinance as Part of Countywide Plan Update.
Lagunitas Creek in the San Geronimo Watershed remains as one of the largest runs of wild coho salmon, steelhead trout and chinook salmon in Northern California. The Community Development Agency (CDA), in collaboration with the Department of Public Works (DPW), the Marin County Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (MCSTOPPP), and the Marin Resource Conservation District have renewed the effort to fashion an Stream Conservation Area (SCA) Ordinance to protect, and where possible, restore the natural structure and function of riparian systems
