Dana Armanino is a Principal Planner on the Marin County Community Development Agency's Sustainability Team. She received her undergraduate degree in Environment, Economics and Politics and a Masters degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her emphasis during her degree program was in water resource management and pollution prevention.

Ms. Armanino spent several years in Colorado leading outdoor tours. She also worked for the Aspen Skiing Company's Environmental Affairs department on green building and waste reduction programs. In 2000, Ms. Armanino moved back to her native Marin County to run her family's commercial cabinet company. She joined the County of Marin staff in May 2003 where she currently supervises the Sustainability Team and coordinates the County's climate protection, electric vehicle, efficiency, and energy resiliency programs.

Kellen Dammann began working with the Marin County Community Development Agency's Sustainability Team in 2013. Mr. Dammann works on sustainability programs relating to the County of Marin's involvement with the the Bay Area Regional Energy Network and Energy Watch Partnership. Before moving the the Bay Area, Mr. Dammann worked on sustainability projects for non-profits and other government agencies in Southern California. He attended UC Santa Barbara and earned bachelor degrees in Comparative Literature and Spanish Literature and coordinated the student-run recycling program on campus. He is also a Certified Green Building Professional and a Certified Energy Manager in Training.

Alice Zanmiller

Alice Zanmiller is a Planner with the Marin County Community Development Agency's Sustainability Team. She received her degree in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. She worked as a planner developing climate action plans and greenhouse gas inventories prior to joining the County in August of 2016.

Alice works on sustainability programs and initiatives that support the implementation of the County’s Climate Action Plan, adopted in 2015. This includes policy and implementation support for the County's Green Building Program, Energy Watch Partnership, and Regional Codes and Standards group. Additionally, she works to implement other Climate Action Plan measures that reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, agriculture, and the built environment in the County of Marin.

Mark Chhabria

Mark Chhabria has been with the Marin County Community Development Agency’s Sustainability Team since 2017. He coordinates the Marin Green Business Program, which recognizes and promotes local environmental leaders in the small- and medium-sized business community. In addition, Mark coordinates Electrify Marin, an innovative incentive program that encourages homeowners to make the switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Mark is a Marin County native and holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University of California.

Alex Porteshawver

Alex Porteshawver is passionate about local solutions to climate change and an experienced sustainability planner. She has developed and implemented climate action and adaptation plans, designed community empowered campaigns, and helped advance smart energy policy. She is passionate about learning to stand as an ally to all people. Alex is currently managing the County of Marin’s central sustainability initiative, Drawdown: Marin, working with the community to design and implement climate change solutions that are viable and feasible right now.


Alex attended Emerson College and graduated with a dual undergraduate degree in Marketing and Management Communication, she received her Law degree from Marquette University, and a Masters degree in Environmental Law & Policy from Vermont Law School. She joined the Sustainability Team in September 2018 and is a 10-year Bay Area resident.
