Those who want to receive a ballot in the mail must apply by May 29 in one of the following ways:
If you miss the May 29 deadline, you can get a vote-by-mail ballot by coming to the Elections Department.
Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day. For convenience, a secure ballot box decorated in red, white and blue is located at the main entrance to the Civic Center through 8 p.m. Election Day. The entrance is on Peter Behr Drive under the Civic Center’s south archway.
“We check the box every afternoon and retrieve ballots so we can process them right away,” said Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts.
She reminds voters to sign their return envelope or the Elections Department cannot process the ballot.
