Board of Supervisors Takes Stances on Statewide Propositions

San Rafael, CA -- On October 2, the Marin County Board of Supervisors considered its stances on the 11 statewide measures that will appear on the November 6 Statewide General Election ballot, adopting “support” positions regarding four propositions, “oppose” positions for two, and a “neutral or no policy” stance on the remaining five.

Proposition 6 is particularly concerning to the Board. If approved, Proposition 6 would eliminate $8 million annually in road repair funds for Marin County and its cities and towns, constitutionally dedicated to transportation, and would result in significant deferred maintenance of much-needed local street and road repairs and other transportation infrastructure improvements.

Adopted resolutions regarding Propositions 1-3, 5-6, and 12 are now online.
