San Rafael, CA – When someone just can’t possibly get any happier, they are “over the moon.” The County of Marin is just that, and its Department of Cultural Services is in final preparations for the 2019 Marin County Fair, set for July 3-7 in San Rafael.
Returning fair highlights include household-name headliner recording artists, lots of other live entertainment, nightly fireworks over the Civic Center lagoon, carnival rides, a barnyard and petting zoo, and creative exhibits. Thousands of Marin County residents enter the fair’s contests each year in hundreds of creative categories. All of that will be topped off with a delicious variety of foods and refreshing treats and beverages.
The fair opens at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, and runs through 11 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at the Marin County Fairgrounds, located adjacent to Lagoon Park across from the Marin County Civic Center. July 3 is Children’s Day, when all kids 12 and under are admitted free.
